I'm back

I got yelled at by Mahan for not updating my blog, and he scares me. I usually dissapear for a few weeks around the holidays every year, because I hate this time of year. So if I havent called you or been around, it's not you it's me..............................maybe it is you............ Whatever.

I'm back in Seattle, and it's nice to be home after almost a month and a half on the road. I did some bike races but I am not too into it right now. I won a race yesterday. That was pretty cool. Ron ate it super hard on the second lap, and I thought he was done, but he got up and finished third. He had mud in his helmet, and in his ear. As soon as I crossed the line I threw my bike in Lake Padden. Some folks thought they had just witnessed me cracking super bad, and quitting cycling. I did think about it, but came to my senses and fished my Ridley out of the lake, and went and got some coffee with Duke and Blair. Coffee and beer really round the jagged edges off life.

I am going to the Monday Night Football game between the Hawks and the Packers, and it's snowing outside. I think the snow is good for the Packers, but the Hawks are great at home. Should be awesome.
The picture at the top is of some old folks passed out in their car at the Cycle Smart International in Mass. Matty and I got back to the car after the race and these nice people had parked right next to us and then took a little nap. I was cracking up as soon as I realized they were not dead.

Back in New England

I got back up to Boston yesterday, and it felt kinda like going home. I am back at Matty O's place, and he was super excited to see me again as you can see from the picture. It's way colder here than NJ, and I had to bust out the thermal jacket this morning. Matty went out for some motorpacing with Pucci, and I went along because I owe Pucci a buck from a bet. I passed on the moto session because I have to race tomorrow, and went and got myself lost instead.
I need to train where I don't know the roads because I have been getting an average of one whole hour over any intended ride time this trip. I guess that means stupid trumps lazy...............or somthing like that.

Two Cat 2 UCI races this weekend. Trying to keep the podium mojo going.

So, I go to this Halloween party........

I was Flav, and it ruled. Here is a picture of me macking on Rainbow Brite and Strawberry Shortcake................. Flav would.
I learned a few interesting things in putting together my costume.

1 . Shaq's new line of "street wear" must not be selling too well. (I got my very own Shaq tracksuit for about $15 at Burlington Coat Factory)

2 . Clocks are quite cheap at Wal Mart.

3. It's hard to find a good viking helmet these days(I was not near enough to Ballard)

4. The brother working at the toll booth on my way into the city was not too impressed with a white boy in a beat minivan dressed like flav.....................not even a little.

Oh yeah, I raced on Sunday and got my first UCI podium finish in way too many years. I won't say how many cause it makes me feel old.

Also I got offered a very nice contract from a new pro road team for next year. More details to follow.

All in all a pretty good weekend. Less tears more beers. keep on giviner

Young Gunnaz

The boys did some serious throwing down last weekend in the U23 race at the first round of the NECCS. Chedda was third on Sat and second on Sunday, and Danimal posted the win for the U23s on Sunday.
They raced with the Elite men and Danimal was 7th overall on Sunday. That's some steppin up.

Nordic

I just realized that there is not one picture of me on my own blog. While that may make my blog a prettier place it's just not quite home without a bit of me on board.
This ones for y'all haters.

The hard life

We have the first two rounds of the New England cross series this weekend, so today Robbie took us on a nice little coffee shop ride (my favorite kind) and we did some openers.
Danimal kicked our ass on the openers, he is more open I guess.
At the coffee shop, Danimal, who is a bartista informed us that the girls working there were "totally not working the tip" Insert Dicksonisim here, I think that means they were not feeling his west coast game. MoChedda kept asking Robbie if there was a university near by we could go ride through because he thought the coffee shop girls were too "eclectic"

The kids are alright

Danimal and MoChedda have been sleeping about 10 to 12 hours per night. If sleeping were a sport they would be champions...................................Oh yeah and eating too. I have not seen MoChedda go more than 15 minutes without stuffing food into his mouth. The other day when we were driving I looked over and he was shoveling lettuce out of the bag into his mouth.
Animals. These guys make me seem refined, and classy in contrast.

That Guy

This is Guy. He is my drunk ass British roomate. He says he's not a pisshead, just British. Fine with me, and he's always game to wander down to the local watering hole at the drop of a hat.
Good on ya pal.

It should be noted that the "local watering hole" is only 200 meters from our front door, and that rules because you can run home and drop a D in the same amount of time it takes whoever you are with to shout a round. Who really wants to take a dump at a bar anyways..................................gross!

We (Danimal, MoChedda, and me) are chillin up in New Hampshire right now getting ready for the first two rounds of the New England Cross series.
The first weekend of the USGP kinda sucked for us, so we are pretty keen to put up some numbers.
Big shouts to Robbie King and family for putting us up for a few days.

Bout time I guess

After more than a year of feeding Dickson funny shit that he recycles and posts as his own I decided to get my own blog. I need to have the boys do somthing idiotic or funny so I have somthing to write about.
